Supported Boorus in Discord: Choose a Source and Search by Tags

SuccubusBot currently exposes seven booru sources in Discord: Gelbooru, Yande.re, Konachan, Rule34.xxx, Safebooru, Danbooru, and E621. Use a source-specific /booru command when you know where you want to search. Use /booru hentai for a broader search across six sources. The broad command currently leaves out Konachan, so /booru kon remains a separate choice.

The best starting command depends on the result you want. E621 is the direct furry-source choice. Safebooru gives you the source that is specifically labeled safe. Rule34 is the direct route for Rule34.xxx. The other source commands let you search that board's own tag vocabulary instead of mixing results from several sites.

There is also /booru hentai, the broader route. It searches Gelbooru, Yande.re, Rule34.xxx, Safebooru, Danbooru, and E621 together. It does not currently include Konachan. That distinction matters when a Konachan tag works in /booru kon but appears to return nothing through the broad command.

This is the list of boorus currently exposed by SuccubusBot. It is not a list of every booru on the web. Third-party sources can change their tags, ratings, URLs, media, or availability without changing the Discord command itself.

Start with the smallest search decision you can make:

1. Use /booru e621 for a furry-specific search. This keeps the search on E621 instead of mixing it with general imageboard results.
2. Use /booru safe when you specifically want Safebooru. You still need to check that a result fits the channel and your server rules.
3. Use /booru r34 when the task is a Rule34.xxx search. The separate Rule34 Discord guide goes deeper on its tags, saving, and repeated searches.
4. Use /booru gel, /booru dan, /booru yan, or /booru kon when you know the board or want to compare its coverage. A tag that exists on one source may be absent or spelled differently on another.
5. Use /booru hentai when you want to search across several supported sources at once. If the mixed search is noisy, go back to one source instead of stacking more filters onto a broad query.

Choosing the source first makes troubleshooting easier. If one board returns nothing, you can check its tag spelling or try the same simple idea on a second source. A broad search hides which source did not understand the query.

Booru commands are age-restricted. Use them in a Discord DM where age-restricted app commands are enabled, or in a server channel marked Age-Restricted. In a server, SuccubusBot also needs to send the response and use embeds, message history, and reactions in that channel.

For a private test setup, a personal Discord server can keep discovery separate from an active community. Use one age-restricted channel for small bot searches and another channel for collection planning. This is organization, not a privacy guarantee. The channel still needs the correct Discord settings and bot permissions.

Start with one or two strong tags. The command passes your tag string to the selected source, so that board's spelling and tag rules matter. SuccubusBot does not translate every source into one universal vocabulary.

A practical sequence is:

1. Search one clear subject or character tag.
2. Add one useful trait, pose, format, or rating tag only when the first result set is too broad.
3. Remove the newest tag if the search goes empty.
4. Check the source's own help before assuming a metatag from another booru works the same way.

The source references are useful when a query becomes specific: Danbooru's tag cheatsheet, E621's cheatsheet, Gelbooru's tag guide, Konachan's rating help, Rule34.xxx rating help, Safebooru rating help, and Yande.re rating help.

Autocomplete can help when it is available, but it is not the search itself. If autocomplete shows a voting or Premium prompt, type the known tag manually and run the command. Basic typed booru search is separate from that convenience.

The normal response is a browsable result controlled by the person who ran the command. It identifies the source and links back to the source post. Check those details before saving or sharing the media.

Do not assume a mixed search is ordered as a definitive newest, best, or most popular list. Results can be filtered by supported media type, score, global banned tags, and server-specific banned tags. Third-party availability also changes. Treat the response as a discovery result, not a permanent archive or a ranking of the source's entire catalog.

If a server needs a tighter boundary, managers can maintain server-specific banned tags. That is separate from choosing an age-restricted channel. The channel controls where adult app commands can run; the tag rules control which returned posts remain eligible.

The result's save control gives you three practical paths:

• Send the current result to your DMs when you want a private handoff.
• Save it to a personal category when you want to find it again through /saved list or /saved random.
• Add it to a local ImagePool when the server needs a shared collection.

Personal saved posts belong to your account. ImagePools belong to a server and have their own management workflow. Use Organizing Discord Image Collections with ImagePools when the task has moved from finding one post to maintaining a reusable server collection.

Saved entries and ImagePools organize third-party links and metadata. They do not turn every result into a permanent copy. If the source removes or moves the media later, a saved entry can stop loading.

Q: The command is missing in my server. What should I check?
A: Open an Age-Restricted channel and try the slash-command picker there. If the command is still absent, ask a server manager whether the command or its module was disabled for the server.

Q: The command is missing in DMs. What should I check?
A: Discord can hide age-restricted app commands in DMs until you enable its age-restricted command setting on web or desktop. Turn it on there, then reopen the DM. That setting is not available in the iOS app.

Q: The command appears, but SuccubusBot cannot post the result. What should I do?
A: Run /troubleshoot in that exact server channel. Check that the bot can send messages and has Embed Links, Read Message History, and Add Reactions there.

Q: Why did I get no results?
A: Remove extra tags and try one exact source-specific tag. Check underscores and spelling in that board's help. If the simple query still fails, try another supported source. Source errors, unavailable media, and server or global tag filters can all leave no eligible result.

Q: Why does a tag work on one booru but not another?
A: Each source keeps its own vocabulary and metatags. Use the command for the source whose tag you checked. Do not assume a wildcard, rating tag, or alias transfers unchanged to every board.

Q: Autocomplete asks me to vote or upgrade. Is search locked?
A: No. That prompt applies to tag autocomplete. If you already know the tag, type it into the command and run the search manually.

Q: Why did a saved result stop loading later?
A: The saved entry points back to third-party media. The host may have changed or removed it. Save tools help you organize supported posts; they do not guarantee permanent hosting.

Choose the board that best matches the search, run one simple tag in the right Discord channel, and only narrow after you have a result. If the post is worth keeping, save it personally or move it into the server's collection workflow.
