ImagePools

Organize Discord Image Collections with ImagePools

ImagePools turn supported media links and posts into a server-owned media library your community can browse and reuse in the right channels.

What ImagePools are for

An ImagePool belongs to a Discord server. Managers can add supported media URLs, import/export lists, configure pool settings, and link trusted remote pools from partner servers.

The important word is curated. Pools are not Succubus-approved galleries, long-term backups, or a promise that third-party hosts will keep files online. Your server owns the collection, the taste, and the moderation responsibility.

Quick start commands

Managers can start with /pool add <pool_name> <url> or attach a .txt URL list to /pool import <pool_name>. Use /pool random <pool_name> to post a random item, and /pool list to inspect owned or linked pools.

Cleanup commands include /pool delete_url and /pool delete_pool. Setup commands include /pool rename, /pool set_description, /pool set_private, /pool set_passcode, /pool set_upload_channel, and /pool unset_upload_channel.

Imports, exports, and remote pools

Imports use line-separated URL lists. Very large exports can fail and may need support. Use /pool add_remote to link a trusted public or passcode-protected pool from another server under a local alias.

For recurring pool posts, pair ImagePools with AutoCommands in age-restricted channels.

Build a useful pool

Start small. Keep submissions moderated and test the flow before opening it to a busy server.

1

Create or choose a theme

Pick a pool name that describes a real use: daily prompts, character references, event art, server mascots, or a specific fandom.

2

Add supported posts or links

Managers can add supported URLs or import a text list. If a source breaks or disappears, the original host may have changed.

3

Use the pool where it fits

Pull random items manually or pair a proven pool with AutoCommands in an age-restricted channel.

Server-owned library

Keep reusable media in one named collection instead of losing links across chat history.

Admin curation

Managers control pool setup, imports, exports, naming, privacy, passcodes, and cleanup.

Upload channels

Upload channels can speed admin curation. If members contribute, keep moderation and approval expectations clear.

Remote pools

Link trusted partner-server pools under local aliases. Private remote pools can use passcodes. Treat remote pools as trust-sharing, not official endorsement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone add to an ImagePool?+
Pool setup and management commands are for managers/server staff. Some media views may offer save-to-pool actions, but do not treat ImagePools as open public submission boxes unless your moderation flow is tested.
Are ImagePools long-term backups?+
No. Pools store supported URLs/posts, but third-party hosts can change availability. Use them as managed collections, not guaranteed permanent storage.
Can explicit pools post anywhere?+
No. Adult content belongs in age-restricted channels and still depends on your server rules and Discord policy.
How do ImagePools work with AutoCommands?+
Once a pool has reliable content, managers can schedule recurring pool posts in appropriate channels so the room keeps a rhythm.

Build a collection worth revisiting

Start with one pool your members will actually use, then connect it to suggestions or AutoCommands when it proves itself.
